Statement:

My recent work is a series of paintings that relate to currents of air and water as they move through the landscape. This work captures the unseen force of these elements in the form of wind as it animates vegetation and in the flow of water as it carves and reshapes the land's surface. Many of my paintings reside between abstraction and realism and often feature an identifiable element such as a stream or a plant form. This allows the viewer to connect with the work and go deeper into the more abstracted areas of the composition. When I paint I strive for an image that  is organic and imbued with a spirit that leaves the viewer longing for a connection to these newly discovered places.
